Garden design... Bay Shore, NY

This garden definitely needed a facelift.... Here we used some mixed perennials (huechera, astilbe, liriope, roseanne geranium) and planted the foundation with some evergreens to give it winter interest as well. These included a variegated holly, ilex and skimmia.

Maintenance

Spring time is a very important time to think about your gardens and what sort of maintenance you do for it. Fertilization is key in maintaining the health of your plants by adding the nutrients they need to survive and flourish throughout the year.
Pruning and dead heading of shrubs and flowers is important to maintain continual blooms and growth of each plant.
Mulching the gardens not only puts the finishing touch on your landscape but also helps keep moisture in and weeds down.

Container Gardening

Container gardening is a great way to jazz up your landscape with different colors and textures not only in the flowers but also the pot itself. Container gardening is also easily changed from season to season and year to year and requires little maintenance.
